Providing staff training within workplaces and group homes helps support carers and others working with people with a communication disability. Carers receive the benefit of education on identifying and understanding communication impairments, how to provide support, and learn specific strategies for our mutual clients. As a registered NDIS provider, we believe it is important to collaborate with other carers, support workers, professionals and employers so we can help support our clients both in the clinic and within the community.
What do we offer?
We can provide training on the following areas:
- Expressive Language (impaired use of language)
- Receptive Language (impaired understanding of language)
- Social Skills
- High Level Language
- Cognition (including attention, memory and executive functioning)
- AAC Devices
During training, we provide staff and other allied health professionals with handouts and opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills with guidance from our clinicians.
