Conversation Groups (Adults)

Our Conversation Groups are pairings or small groups of adults of similar age and abilities. These groups are for young adults or older adults seeking opportunities to engage in conversation and social interaction with peers in a supportive, therapeutic environment. Incorporating a variety of approaches, including Social Thinking® methodology, and authentic, practical collaboration, topics covered are discussed and agreed with participants based on their goals but may include:

  • Conversation and social engagement skills
  • Building and maintaining friendships as well as levels of friendships
  • Working in groups, teams and collaborating with others
  • Self-acceptance and self-advocacy
  • Sharing ideas and opinions
