Our Chatter Matters Playgroup was created based on a need for parents to be provided with information about development, strategies, resources, and more! We are here to answer questions, guide you, and help you feel good about supporting your little one’s speech and language development through play. This group is the perfect opportunity to:
- Empower parents to help develop your child’s language and play skills which are crucial to later academic and social success
- Meet a supportive community of parents going through the same phase in their baby’s life
- Be supported on this exciting stage of your baby’s communication development by experienced Speech Pathologists
Each group will provide strategies to help parents support their baby’s language and social development. Strategies will be modelled, and parents will have the opportunity to practise these with their child in a supported environment. Parents will be encouraged to try strategies taught between sessions and take home resources will be provided that outline the strategies discussed in the session.
There are two age groups to ensure the group is tailored to your baby’s development (6 – 12 months and 12-18 months).
